Job Description:
With a commitment to excellence and client satisfaction, we are seeking an ambitious and energetic Senior Director to join our team. This position directly reports to the company President. As the Director you will play a vital role in directly supporting the company president in managing day-to-day operations, with a focus on communications and project management services. You will also be involved in identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities within the US Government market. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining client relationships, writing proposals, managing current contracts and employees, and contributing to ongoing business development and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee all aspects of day-to-day business operations.
· Work closely with the company president to coordinate and manage all operational activities, serving as a trusted advisor and executing directives efficiently.
. Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated communications strategies that span social media, media relations, email campaigns, and related communications strategies.
· Develop and maintain relationships with government clients, prime and sub-contractors, and other economic development partners.
· Handle administrative tasks as needed, including documentation, reporting, and coordination of meetings and events.
· Work closely with our recruiter to oversee recruitment efforts, including interviewing, and onboarding new employees, and oversee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
· Conduct employee performance assessments.
· Work closely with our internal communications and project management teams to ensure project completion rates, client satisfaction scores, operational efficiency improvements, and adherence to budgets and timelines.
· Identify and pursue new Federal contract opportunities via platforms (such as GSA and Sam.gov)
· Write compelling proposals tailored to client requirements that increases the P-Win for new contract opportunities.
· Manage the entire proposal process, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
· Manage resources effectively to optimize operational efficiency and project outcomes, including personnel, budgets, and subcontractors.
· Travel for work-related conferences and in-person client meetings as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Proven experience working in the federal government contracting realm.
· Previous work experience supporting the Veterans Affairs (VA) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA)
· 7+ years’ experience in a strategic communications role developing program-level plans and project-specific artifacts.
· Business development experience for federal procurement
· 7+ years proven experience in a leadership role overseeing operations and strategic communications.
· Strong communication, negotiation, and networking skills
· Proposal writing and business development experience within the federal government contracting field.
· Ability to work independently and remotely.
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, or related field
· Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government contracting
· Experience working with clients in the federal contracting space; strong speaking and presentation skillsets.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior military service is preferred.
· Government consulting experience
· Extensive knowledge and experience in capture and proposal processes
· Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and accuracy in proposal writing
. Familiarity with requirements of the Federal Government Printing Office Style Manual and/or Section 508 compliance.
Compensation: Base pay + Operational performance bonus
