The Role:
Better Life Partners is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Vice President, Head of New Market Development & Implementation to spearhead the expansion of our services into new geographic markets. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, the Head of New Market Development and Implementation will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic opportunities for growth. This individual will lead a cross-functional team to establish new treatment partnerships, driving revenue growth and extending the reach of our life-changing programs.
What you will do:
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify promising new geographic markets for expansion, considering factors such as population demographics, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and community needs.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and refine the company's market expansion strategy, aligning with overall business objectives and growth targets.
- New Member Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to attract new members to Better Life Partners' treatment programs in newly established markets, collaborating closely with marketing and outreach teams.
- Partnership Development: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, government agencies, insurers, and community organizations, to explore collaboration opportunities and facilitate market entry.
- Site Selection: Lead site selection efforts for new treatment facilities, leveraging data-driven analysis and collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations governing the establishment and operation of substance use disorder treatment programs.
- Financial Analysis: Evaluate the financial viability of potential expansion opportunities, including revenue projections, cost estimates, and return on investment analysis.
- New Market Launch: Oversee the successful launch of Better Life Partners' services in new markets, coordinating activities across all functional areas and ensuring a seamless transition from planning to operations.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, legal, marketing, and clinical services, to coordinate and support successful market entry and ongoing operations.
- Team Management: Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of professionals to support the company's growth objectives.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to market development activities, providing regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
You are a good fit if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare business development and/or growth, with a focus on launching and scaling new markets, programs or services.
- Proven track record of successfully entering new markets and driving revenue growth in a healthcare or related industry.
- Deep understanding of the substance use disorder treatment landscape, including regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in financial modeling, market analysis, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for making a positive impact on individuals and communities affected by addiction.
This is a hybrid position. At least 2 days weekly or one week per month, you’ll work from our shared workspace in Boston, MA. When not in the shared workspaces, you’ll work from home.
Hybrid position requirements:
- Must be in commutable distance to Back Bay, Boston.
- Must have internet service with minimum upload/download ability.
- Company will provide equipment (laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset) plus a remote work stipend.
- Must have a quiet space to speak to members with minimal background noise.
- Must understand the importance of protected health information and ensure any data/information is not visible to others.
This is a full-time, exempt position. The starting salary range for this position is $150,450 - $190,275 annually + equity + benefits. The final compensation package is influenced by various factors such as experience, education, degrees earned, market data, and business requirements.
