MEDICAL ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM THROUGH STEPFUL

Join the Midwest ENT Team and become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) while working full-time! Midwest ENT Specialists provides full tuition reimbursement and assistance to prospective team members in exchange for a two-year service commitment following program completion.
As you are completing the program, we will introduce and train you to the role of Medical Assistant (MA), while you're learning CMA fundamentals through your coursework. Medical Assistants support providers in our multi-specialty practice in the areas of Allergy and Asthma, Ear, Nose & Throat, and Facial Plastic Surgery.
As a Medical Assistant you will:
- Complete patient intake, gathers and documents chief complaints, HPIs and vitals.
- Present the patient case to the clinician.
- Document the physician's exam including diagnosis and treatment plan in Electronic Medical Record(EMR) system within the parameters of the patient appointment.
- Assist healthcare professionals with diagnostic procedures and treatments, including scopes, biopsies, skin testing and laser treatments.
- Order tests, medications, and surgeries as necessary.
- Provide patient education materials and communicate physician advice/instructions.
- Maintain the laboratory area and equipment logs daily.
- Handles patient private health information within the guidelines of HIPAA and company privacy practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Willingness and ability to work and travel between all four clinic locations in Vadnais Heights, Woodbury, and Eagan, MN and Hudson, WI.
- BLS or CPR certified or willingness to become certified.
- Valid Driver’s License
- A resident of Minnesota/Western Wisconsin or in the process of relocating to Minnesota.
