UX Designer (Modern Workplace Experience)
Contract Role, Hybrid NYC
RedStream Technology is seeking a talented UX Designer with a strong background in modern workplace technologies to work with a leading enterprise client. Specific areas of focus will include focusing on desktop environments, ServiceNow platforms, and conference room solutions.
As a UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing user experiences across these domains, ensuring seamless usability and productivity for our client’s organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for desktop applications and web platforms within the modern workplace ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional design solutions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs based on user needs and behaviors.
- Develop design guidelines, patterns, and design systems that promote consistency and scalability across all workplace technologies.
- Drive user-centered design processes, advocating for best practices and innovative approaches to improve user experiences.
- Work closely with IT teams to integrate UX enhancements into ServiceNow workflows and other enterprise systems.
- Design intuitive interfaces for conference room technologies, ensuring seamless user interactions and efficient meeting experiences.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in UX design and workplace technology to continuously improve our offerings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a UX Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in designing for desktop applications, ServiceNow platforms, and conference room systems.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience with agile development processes and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and rationale, and to advocate for user needs.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in enterprise environments is a plus.
