Job Description: Assists Anesthesiologist by setting-up equipment and preparing medications. Orders, stocks, tests, and maintains anesthesia supplies, medications, and equipment. Washes and sterilizes re-usable equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel. Associate's degree or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Required: Completion of Anesthesia Tech, EMT, Surgical Tech or similar course -OR- 1 year experience as an AnesthesiaTech can substitute for education requirement.Preferred: EKG course.Experience: Two (2) years anesthesia technician experience preferred.Skills: Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging andeffective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative toassist with whatever is needed.
Licenses/Certifications:
Required: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS.Preferred: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) ACLS and PALS; Cer. A.T. or Cer. A.T.T.
