Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced production supervisor to join our 3rd shift operations. The incumbent will be expected to assist with planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. In addition, they will be responsible for coaching, counseling and disciplining employees. The ideal candidate will possess previous manufacturing and a machining background.

Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, Mi-Tech consolidates production, sales, maintenance, customer service, and quality control in one 85,000-square-foot location to maximize efficiency.
Responsibilities and Job Duties (Include are but no limited to):
· Follow relevant MTTM procedures and the MTTM Quality Policy
· Adhere to all Safety Policies established by Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals, LLC.
· Provide leadership and supervision to the Mill Products departments
· Interface with team members on a daily basis and act as the first line of command in resolving problems and maintaining efficient, orderly workflow
· Ensuring on-time delivery, management of the flow of materials/parts and control of inventory
· Coordinate workloads and department schedules
· Inspect parts throughout the shift to verify conformance to Company specifications
· Review scheduling with the “Mill Products manager”
· Send production schedule information to off shift supervision
· Oversees and or conducts training of new and existing employees
· Participation in interviewing, hiring, and terminations of Employees as needed
· Retention, training and continued development of hourly associates
· Adherence to product and customer specifications
· Compliance with all required Employment Laws and OSHA regulations and policies
· Accurate and timely production reporting
· Maintaining appropriate working relationships with others within the company
· Creating and maintaining a plant floor environment that promotes safety and the safe operation of the entire process
· Continued assessment of cost reduction opportunities through the utilization of resources to remove process costs, improve efficiencies, and develop creative staffing strategies
· Experience in 5S
· Maintain and improve high quality levels by ensuring that all work processes are performed correctly and accurately
· Supervises assigned employees and conveys Management’s expectations and direction. Responsibilities include: scheduling, training, directing, and motivating assigned employees and making recommendations to Management on their behalf.
· Complete additional duties as assigned by MTTM management
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED equivalent
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Planning and organizational skills
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
· Problem solving skills
· Ability to mentor and coach employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
· Strong Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
· At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
· Two years of Supervisory experience preferred or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associates degree in a technical field of studies or equivalent education.
· Knowledge of Powdered Metals manufacturing or Machining background
Physical Requirements:
· Satisfy and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative productivity and quality standards.
· Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
· Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Communicate effectively for all levels of employee, orally as well as written documentation
