BASIC FUNCTION:
Cycle count inventory, reconcile differences, and identify and correct practices that are causing incorrect counts.
MAJOR DUTIES:

Counts inventory daily based on the cycle count worksheet generated by the system. Reconciles the differences between the counted quantity and the book quantity.

Counts the parts generated on the Cycle Count Worksheet.

Reviews counted quantity vs. book quantity.

Reconciles differences by analyzing receipts, issues, items in wrong locations, and unreported scrap.

Notifies appropriate supervisors of incorrect practices that have caused incorrect counts.

Notifies supervisor of high dollar corrections that will affect inventory value.

Investigates negative quantities, adjusts quantities as required, and identifies reasons for locations being driven to negative and performs the following location negative balance analysis on a weekly basis:

Uses the NEG.OH.BY.LOC to analyze and correct negative balances.

Adjusts negative balances by offsetting material in another location. Location cycle counts may be required as part of the correction process.

Where there is no offsetting location, investigates receipts and issues to find the reasons for the negative balance.

If the reasons for the negative balances can be determined, contacts appropriate supervisors with corrective action to prevent future occurrences.

Maintains location control through movement of inventory among locations, establishing permanent locations, and revising/deleting locations as required. Performs the following to maintain location control on a daily basis:

Does requested parts moves among locations.

Sets up new permanent locations as required by the shop flow.

Removes and switches old permanent locations that are not required. Works with supervisor to assure parts are being stored in the correct locations.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma is preferred. Needs to be detailed oriented and must be able to determine and set priorities. In addition, needs to have the ability to interact well with others.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 20 - 25 pounds will be required. Frequent walking (between plants), carrying and distributing parts among several plant locations is required.

The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member.
