The Dean of Students (K-8 campus, 12-month position) will work with the school’s leaders to build and maintain a positive and safe school climate and carry out the school’s academic programs. Further, the Dean will work closely with school personnel to assist with developing a strong school culture in which students grow to exemplify CGS Core Values.
The Dean of Students will be responsible for administering student services as it relates to attendance, discipline, and safety within the authority and responsibility delegated by the Executive Director. Additionally, the Dean will work on and closely support academic teams/committees such as the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) team and others as assigned.
The Dean of Students will report directly to the Principal and Executive Director and serve on the Executive Director’s Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with proven abilities in implementing large scale behavior intervention systems, including exceptional skills in data analysis and problem solving, with superior communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking and managing risks related to improving student performance and behavior outcomes, be able to work independently with little or no supervision, and be successful in working with staff in addition to culturally diverse families and communities.
Education
Bachelors in Education with a minimum of 3 years classroom experience required. School Administration or Counseling experience preferred.
