Westbrook Health Services is expanding and is in need of Certified Medical Assistants in our outpatient psychiatric clinic. This office operates Monday through Friday, no weekend work is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.

Record patients' medical history, and vital statistics.

Collect and record Urine Drug Screens as needed

Assist with completion of nursing tickets

Obtain prior authorizations for medications as needed

Obtain Board of Pharmacy information and enter in EMR
-
Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the medical provider
-
Maintain connectivity for telehealth appointments and document telehealth note in EMR

Administer injectable medications, when applicable.

Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and medical providers’ instructions to patients.

Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations

Maintains confidentiality of all information and complies with HIPAA regulations.

Demonstrates knowledge of and supports Westbrook Health Services mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior
Qualification Requirements:

Excellent attention to detail working accurately and efficiently under time constraints.

Knowledge of medical practice and care.

Knowledge of computers and data entry into an Electronic Medical Record.

Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately with a variety of individuals in order to convey and receive information effectively.

Must work well in a team environment.

Work with staff, consumers, and others in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful, and effective manner.

Maintain CMA Licensure as required, licensure reimbursement is provided
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of Medical Assistant program required. Prior computer/PC experience. Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR background checks, and an observed urine screen.
