Our Business Development Manager is an integral part of our business by building out and managing our sales channels and connecting in our community! This impact player must be a hunter. The role involves initiation and development of quality leads to ensure the growth of catering sales, while being an integral part of developing new channels of business. In this Business Development Manager position, responsibilities include finding new clients, acquiring continued business from previous clients, ownership of Business to Business clients, and communicating from initial contact to checking in on experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with Catering Sales Management experience who wants to diversify their career and grow!
What you'll be responsible for:
- Building sales and driving the business!
- Handling all catering and other outreach orders for the brand from client origination to post event follow up. Respond to inquiries about catering services, walking potential guests through any questions, guiding them to the best selections for their events and upselling to enhance the guest experience.
- Enthusiastic initiative with finding new customers and building relationships with repeat customers is critical.
- Collaboration in discovering new revenue paths and development of new channels that drive profitability.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness in connecting with new customers and showing diligence with follow up communications to ensure a close.
- Outbound sales administration and coordination.
- Owning the channel
Who you are:
1. You have a track record of performance with at least 1 year of new business development experience
2. People are drawn to you. You love chatting up people you don’t know - getting to know them, telling your story and being comfortable driving the conversation. Your engagement on social media platforms, driving and building business speaks to this.
3. You are competitive and persistent. You chase your goals and do what it takes to win because you believe results matter
4. You are creative and strategic in your direction, finding solutions and driving ideation
5. You are results focused team-player, but you also thrive working autonomously
6. You are productive. You have been successful cold-calling and have utilized successful sourcing strategies to reach the decision maker
7. You are an effective communicator - in written and verbal form
8. You are detail oriented with a strong sense of urgency
9. Bilingual + Restaurant experience are a plus
10. You are organized and have good follow up skills
11. Experience in sales in a large urban market a plus
