AKRF is seeking Entry Level Engineer/Scientist/Planner for our NYC, White Plains, Philadelphia, Mt Laurel, Maryland and Connecticut across our many disciplines. Candidates with coursework and interest in one or more of the following areas will be considered:

Job Responsibilities:
-
Assist with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment.

Use record documents, reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess site characteristics such as hydrology, topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of projects.

Develop solutions that solve user problems.

Determine whether a design solution is user-friendly, cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

Create multiple iterations of design prototypes using computer-aided design tools.

Conduct rigorous usability tests and modify the product based on the test results.

Evaluate design solutions against industry standards and regulations.

Document the design process and present progress reports to all relevant stakeholder.

Essential Requirements:

An accredited STEM bachelor’s degree program or STEM graduate program.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Compensation will range from $65k-$75k and commensurate with experience.
