Our collaborative and transdisciplinary℠ applied behavior framework, consists of applied behavior analysis, special education, speech language therapy, physical and occupational therapy, sensory integration, group and social interaction, and family support for children – ages 5 to 21 – with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related neurodiversities.

Your Impact Here at MBC
- Direct teaching of skills to client and data collection on client responses
- Collect behavior data and implement research-based interventions to decrease interfering behaviors and teach replacement skills
- Support client participation in larger classroom environment
- Graph and analysis of data collected during sessions to monitor client learning trends
- Maintain and promote generalization of learned skills
- Provide feedback and data regarding mainstream opportunities and parent concerns
- Prepare and organize teaching materials and teaching settings prior to each session
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, other SEIT providers and related service providers to implement student-specific strategies and protocols
- Engage and use Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) holds/transport or disengagement tactics for students during behavioral episodes. This may mean physically intervening after being trained thoroughly, to help deescalate children when they become a danger to themselves or others.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- NYS Teacher’s Certification required
- Experience with children with Autism or PPD population using the ABA model
- Experience working in a school-based or home-based environment preferred
- Must be able to work independently and maintain a professional yet friendly demeanor when working in the home and/or school environment
- Must have a compatible device (iPad, Laptop etc.) to use for electronic notes

- This position is located at Manhattan Day School (310 W 75th St, New York, NY 10023) and has a schedule of 14 Hrs per week (Monday through Thursday 2pm to 4:20pm and Fridays from 8:20am to 1pm), pays a salary rate of $60 to $100 per hour.
