Osmarie Navarro-Martínez, Standing Chapter 13 Trustee for the District of Puerto Rico (hereinafter “Trustee”), is accepting applications from qualified individuals for employment as Human Resources Specialist. The Human Resources Specialist assists trustee in complying with state and labor law applicable provisions to the office operation; recruiting process; budget preparation; employees’ benefits; and responsible for the payroll. The Human Resources Specialist assists in the personnel performance review; identifies developmental and training needs and duties, which require the diligent exercise of good faith and loyalty in the administration of estates in chapter 13 cases.
Requirements:
· Master’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent, or
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a SHRM-CP/SCP certification or equivalent.
Experience:
· Minimum of four (4) years of experience in human resources field.
Skills/Qualifications:
· A commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.
· Knowledge of Puerto Rico Human Resources requirements and regulations, and applicable state and federal labor law.
· Familiarity with the preparation of payroll, preferably with ADP.
· Proficient in relevant computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Teams and Zoom.
· Superior oral and written communication skills. (Spanish & English/verbal & writing).
· Fully Bi-lingual (Spanish & English/verbal & writing).
· Outstanding organizational skills and multitasker.
· Ability to manage tasks under deadlines.
· Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to work productively with all levels of staff within the office.
· Analytical ability and mathematical aptitude necessary to perform inter-office financial transactions required for administration of chapter 13 cases.
· Positive attitude with an emphasis on teamwork and the willingness to help others succeed in their positions.
