Due to continued growth, our Device Clinic is looking for a dynamic Cardiovascular Device Technician to join our cardiology practice. We strive to ensure a positive patient experience coupled with the highest level of care.
Eligible candidates will need to have good communication skills and strong work ethic, along with a professional attitude and desire to help patients achieve a positive office experience. They must also be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Maintaining testing schedules for Loops, pacemaker and defibrillator patients including trans-telephonic, remote interrogation transmissions and in-office interrogation testing
· Entering transmissions into NEXT-GEN electronic computer systems
· Abstracting all new device implantation data
· Meeting with patients for entry into the testing program; explaining patient responsibilities and answering questions as needed
· Enrolling patients in the program, establishing a testing schedule and ordering the patient equipment from the device manufacturers remote program
· Accessing all remote programs – CARELINK, MERLIN, LATITUDE – daily to obtain, process and interpret transmissions
· Processing testing and entering data via PDF reports into patient EMR
· Creating testing encounters in EMR
· Creating daily charge reports for billing
· Scaning, abstracting and inputing all interrogation data
· Reporting abnormal testing per Device Clinic Reporting Protocol to provider/EP physician/EP APP
· Reviewing patient charts; assuring compliance with device testing guidelines
Experience with Boston Scientific, Abbott, Medtronic and Biotronik equipment a plus
