Works in a Team approach in providing patient care service using the Patient-Centered Medical Home model. Greets patients, answer phones. Receive messages via phone and forwards these through the electronic medical record (‘EMR’). Schedules patients’ appointments in the EMR. Receives and correctly records receipts of patient payments in EMR. Completes pre-registration process that includes: verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information. Reminds patients to have tests that have been previously ordered and are required to be done prior to scheduled appointments. Scans inpatient and outpatient records and reports into the EMR. Obtain Prior authorizations and distribute out-going referrals. Provides routine services in a collaborative team approach in the Practice. Provides patient education on preventive health and/or disease – specific conditions. Assists the providers as required. Assists in maintaining daily functioning of the Practice according to established policies and procedures. MA must stay until last patient leaves the office/work is complete
Hours are M,T, Th 8:00am- 5:30pm and two Fridays per month coverage, 9-1pm
Experience with Sleep study is highly encouraged to apply.

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
