ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting new opportunity with a growing general contractor looking to hire a fulltime Controller to help with managing the accounting department of the company in a hands-on and supervisory capacity.
This position is entirely on-site – local applicants only.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING-
Manage the accounting department and provide hands-on support for accounting responsibilities
- Accurately produce job-costing and work-in-progress reports
- Monitor all financial reports and suggest cost-saving opportunities where necessary
- Support payroll processing and oversee payroll functions
- Manage the month-end close processes – reconcile accounts to the general ledger as needed
- Accurately prepare financial documents – financial forecasts and business reports

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE-
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field required

3+ years managing an accounting department required
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field required

Experience using Sage software highly preferred

Prior experience working in Construction industry required

Ability to work in fast-paced environment and strong organizational skills
- Experience using Excel (entry to mid-level)
