Summary
The HR and Admin Coordinator will report to the Chief People Officer, and be responsible for the execution of HR processes, employee relations, and training. This position will maintain administrative processes for Illinois JCC locations. This role will be on site at our offices in Chicago and includes on-site work to our Chicagoland locations. This position will develop and maintain a happy, productive workforce, and facilitate a culture that aligns with the company values. Responsibilities of this role include:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Human Resources

Facilitate and coordinate between HR and employees

Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented and always followed.

Recruitment: Help with hiring-related tasks, such as setting up interviews, managing state affiliations and managing onboarding of new employees.

Data maintenance in HRIS of employee records.

Update and maintain necessary recordkeeping for company and policy compliance.

Employee Relations: Collaborate with HR team to receive feedback/complaints and conduct research to resolve problems as needed. Assist in internal investigations.

Answer questions from employees, applicants, and external stakeholders.

Provide Payroll support

Use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality

Support other HR related tasks as needed
Administration

Respond to phone calls, emails, etc.

Order and manage office supplies

Plan meetings and take notes

Handling complaints and queries

Other office duties as assigned
Team Collaboration

Work collaboratively HR, Retail, and Operations staff.

Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clear understanding of tasks and expectations.

Support a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering teamwork and mutual respect among colleagues.

Provide training and guidance to new team members, sharing HR knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-2 years of HR, Customer Service, or Cannabis experience; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to take direction and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision

Bilingual (Spanish) capability is desired but not required

Must be 21 years old and pass all requirements for state cannabis affiliation
