Summary:
The Director of Sales is responsible for increasing company revenue / sales for a designated regional area by identifying and developing new business opportunities and growing relationships with existing clients. This position manages and develops the regional sales team, oversee external clients / partnerships, and establishing a long-term strategy for growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Promote, demonstrate, and instill ScaffSource’s culture of safety and quality in all aspects of the business
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales goals
- Attract, hire, develop and lead team of high-performing sales professionals
- Produce sales forecasts and reports
- Research market and competitors
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop effective promotional materials
- Oversee preparation of documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals
- Creates and executes business plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Possess a thorough understanding of ScaffSource service capabilities, identify business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to the line of business
- Present business and marketing opportunities to leadership
- Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow the business
- Establish and maintain key customer relationships
- Identify customer issues and works with the operational lead to provide resolution
- Represent company at trade association meetings to promote services

Working Conditions:
- Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard and shop locations.
- Working indoors in an office environment
- Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary
- Frequent travel as required

- Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills
- Strong negotiation and sales skills
- Financial acumen, and ability to understand complex financial models
- Ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
- Strong working knowledge of the company’s products and services and the market
- In-depth knowledge of selling strategies
- Excellent Microsoft suite skills
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 10+ years’ experience within business development
- Specialty services background preferred (maintenance services, painting, insulation,scaffolding)
- Bilingual a plus
