Scope of Position
The Financial Services department provides financial reporting and analysis to all business units and departments within The Ohio State University Health System. Within Financial Services, the Director of Finance directs and manages the pharmacy finance and accounting group which provides monthly financial and statistical reports, capital expenditure tracking and general ledger system support, and a wide variety of financial analysis. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining processes and systems connected to pharmacy operations, such as budgeting, cost accounting, decision support, and net revenue accounting. The position coordinates work and maintains relationships with Wexner Medical Center financial and information systems management and staff.
Position Summary
The Finance Director has primary responsibility for providing the services noted in the Scope of Position. The position is responsible for recommending and implementing policies, procedures, and systems to analyze and optimize pharmacy financial operations. The Director ensures the month and year end financial statement close schedules are maintained, a five-year financial forecast and budget are updated and completed each fiscal year. The position interacts with senior and executive members of the OSU Wexner Medical Center as well as pharmacy and individual business unit leadership and directs the work of managers, accountants, analysts, clerical personnel and students.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 10 years of relevant experience.
