Position Overview
As our Press Brake Set-Up Operator, you are responsible for set-up and operation of our press brake machine while following project details and blueprints. Our Press Brake Operators are responsible for producing defect-free products, on-time, and at the lowest possible cost.
Essential Duties
- The ability to set up and operate a hydraulic brake press to a set of work instructions.
- The ability to select the correct tooling for the job and load, install and correctly set up those required.
- The ability to manufacture products according to customer specifications utilizing blueprints as well as a variety of material control devices (fixtures, templates, etc.).
- The ability to produce quality parts and meet or exceed production standards, while making sure to maintain Accurate Labor Recording (exact quantities a must)
- The ability to evaluate, correct, and take actions necessary to prevent external quality issues.
- The ability to work responsibly and safely at all times.
Position Requirements
- Must be comfortable using a computer.
- Dimensional measuring and shop-math competence.
- Work in an efficient and timely manner.
Physical Demands
Work Environment: Production environment in which the noise level is moderately noisy.
Work Position/Body Movements: Employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl while performing their job duties, with sitting and standing being the main requirements.
Lift Requirements: Employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
