Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Facilities Management Specialist to oversee the day-to-day facilities maintenance & facilities operations of our pediatric extended care facilities across Florida and Texas. This role is crucial in ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained to provide a comfortable environment for patients and staff. This is a hybrid position which will include a home-base with availability to travel across Florida & Texas up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities:
- Facilities Management & Leaseholds:
- Manage existing facility leases across two states, ensuring compliance with all terms and timely renewals. (Liaise with the legal team for lease negotiations as needed.)
- Develop and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to ensure the smooth operation and longevity of all facilities.
- Manage and collaborate with pre-approved vendors to ensure timely repairs and upkeep according to lease specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for housekeeping staff, ensuring consistent and high-quality cleaning practices.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues and code violations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all lease agreements, maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance records.
- Oversee the organization of equipment, supplies, and toys in all facilities, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Facilities Experience & Space Optimization:
- In collaboration with COO, conduct space assessments of all facilities to identify opportunities for maximizing the functionality and flow of the current footprints for patient caregiving and therapeutic activities, oversee the implementation of minor space optimization plans focusing on rearranging furniture and existing equipment to improve functionality within the current layouts.
- Manage the organization of equipment, supplies, and toys in all facilities, creating a uniform, visually appealing, and clutter-free environment conducive to efficient patient caregiving and therapeutic activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a healthcare OR educational setting.
- Strong understanding of building systems, preventative maintenance practices, and vendor management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and manage deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software (preferred).
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- A passion for efficiency and ensuring facilities meet the needs of patients and staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $61,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
