Take Five USA is currently seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager for our Dallas Manpuku location. We operate two distinct Japanese dining concepts with locations in Southern California and Texas.
Manpuku,a well-established Japanese restaurant with roots in Japan, the restaurant is based on a concept that first opened its doors in Tokyo more than 70 years ago. Manpuku is our premier chain of Japanese barbecue (yakiniku) restaurants focused on a unique dining experience for our customers where they can enjoy the best-tasting authentic Japanese yakiniku dishes.
Hachi is our Japanese Izakaya concept that specializes in seasonal bincho (white charcoal) grilled dishes, freshly farmed oysters, sushi, and specialty hot pot soups along with small Japanese tapas dishes and a variety of alcoholic drinks for pairing. The Izakaya concept dates back more than 1,000 years in Japan. Similar to a pub, a Spanish tapas bar, or an American saloon or tavern - Izakaya Hachi provides a casual dining atmosphere for socializing with friends, family and co-workers.
Our Managers set the standard for service expectations. Through their strong understanding of P&L management and service standards, they ensure that their assigned location operate according to corporate standards and provide our guests with traditional Japanese hospitality in order to guarantee a pleasant dining experience from start to finish,
Reporting to The Director of Operations and working with Headquarter staff, our Managers are responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, which include hiring and coaching staff, quality of service and food, supplies and equipment inventory, and dealing with suppliers and vendors.
Responsibilities and Expectations (including but not limited to):
- Assist with P&L management of assigned location.
- Strong understanding of, and ability to, manage budgets.
- Recruit, train and supervise staff.
- Ensure good working relationships between FOH and BOH team members.
- Full understanding of all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and guidelines in place for restaurant operations.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety codes/guidelines.
- Adherence to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Thoroughly understand food, beverage and labor costs.
- Clearly communicate all aspects of restaurant operations.
- Full understating of product menu items.
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum of 7 years full-service restaurant management experience at casual fine dining restaurants.
- A minimum of 3 years working at a Japanese/Asian restuarant preferred.
- Track record of meeting sales targets and effectively managing store P&L.
- Experience using Toast POS is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- Positive, team-based leadership.
