Job Overview:
Wells County Community Corrections is seeking an exceptional Administrative Assistant to manage the administration of client files, front desk, and general fiscal accounting operations. Responsibilities include providing executive assistance to the Director and Administration Operations Coordinator and management of the day-to- day office operations. This position is ideal for a well-organized self-motivated individual who possesses outstanding administrative and clerical skills who wants a stable long-term position within a small operation. Our ideal candidate is a detailed oriented self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and work with minimal supervision in a team environment. Candidates applying must be dependable, a team player with a flexible attitude, and have the ability to prioritize the workload under pressure and multiple tasks in a fast-paced changeable environment and show Integrity and be sensitive to confidential information.
Duties:
- Assist with daily administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Handle incoming calls and emails, responding promptly and professionally
- Perform general office duties including photocopying, scanning, and mailing
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in administrative roles or similar positions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills:
- Excellent Professional Customer service and calming demeanor
- Project coordination
- Experience in detailed data entry and acuity working with numbers and budgets and financial software
- Strong organizational abilities
- Previous experience with small office or team operations
