We are currently seeking talented and motivated Junior engineers to join our team in any of our five northern California Offices. The ideal candidate is described below but will meet the minimum requirements and have some or all of the desirable skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in Hydraulic and Hydrologic Modeling software such as Infoworks ICM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, XPSWMM, Flo2d, Infowater, and WaterCAD
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with project management and client interactions
- Understanding of regulatory requirements associated with water resources projects
A junior engineer will have 0 to 2 years of experience in the water resources engineering field. Though experience is not a requirement, a strong preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated water resources coursework and training/exposure to software used daily in our practice. As a junior engineer at Schaaf & Wheeler you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with senior engineers and gain hands-on experience in a variety of aspects of water resources engineering. An EIT certificate is required for this role.
Compensation: This full-time position has a non-exempt pay range of $37.00 to $42.00 per hour.*
