POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
Work with the Operations management to provide financial reporting and analysis for the business. Provide insight into the achievement of financial and operational goals. Work to problem-solve operational financial issues by making recommendations on key improvement initiatives and cost savings. Use an understanding of the business and key drivers to recommend solutions and process improvements followed by implementation. Prepare cost analyses, ROI analysis, forecasts, and budgets. Assess accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls: Make recommendations and lead changes to enhance and strengthen.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related advance degree, CPA, and/or progress toward completion.

Five plus years’ accounting/finance experience with prior manufacturing experience.

Experience and working knowledge with QAD and/or Oracle.

Experience and working knowledge of Hyperion, Hyperion planning, and reporting.
-
Experience working with ERP packages.
-
Experience with financial analysis models such as return on investment, IRR, NPV, economic profit, and payback analysis.

Ability to prioritize and reset priorities if business circumstances require.

Six Sigma and/or lean manufacturing experience with ability to perform process mapping.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Budget preparation, review, and analysis including ownership the budgeting process from input to final review to ensure that the data is accurate and complete.

Lead the preparation of periodic forecasts.
-
Develop financial analysis and models to support accounting and operational initiatives (i.e. capital expenditures, variance analysis, Continuous Improvement and other cost savings projects).

Provide timely reporting of results as well as explanations of variances and trends that can be understood by non-accountants including recommendation for corrective actions as needed.

Provide recommendations related to findings from financial analyses and understanding production needs; analyzing variances between actual and standard costs by product to understand why variances exist and identify process improvements.

Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis and standard setting.

Coordinate and lead cost center reviews to help management understand costs and provide explanation of variances.

Partner with Operations management to provide leadership and direction to help them make the optimal decisions for the operation.

Lead the month-end close process including processing of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement review. May include including work order analysis, variance analysis, margin analysis, inventory analysis, and financial reporting.

Develop metrics (KPI’s) and reporting to support operational review and analysis (i.e. OEE, production vs. targets, pieces per hour, S&OP). Ensure that metrics are being calculated consistently.

Lead the review of accounting processes and procedures as well as internal controls and make recommendations and implement improvements to enhance and strengthen them.

Supports business strategic initiatives.

Be a key resource for the implementation of ERP and other systems and related enhancements.

May provide leadership and development of direct reports and cross functional teams.

Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
