Position: Full-Time Pharmacy Technician Control Department

Shift/Hours: 4:30pm-1am or 5:00pm-1:30pm Monday Thru Friday; rotating weekends as needed

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for adhering to all regulations regarding controlled substances
- Responsible for maintaining, utilizing and implementing tracking/documentation
- Responsible for the printing of prescription labels for filling process
- Fills all controlled substances and coordinates appropriate deliveries.
- Responsible for verifying valid prescription on file prior to dispensing controlled substances.
- Actively contributes to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies and procedures.
- Assists with ensuring safety policy and procedures are practiced and adhered.
- Enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices.
- Maintains accurate inventory of all controlled substances (including required documentation)
- Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
- Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications, label, and store, as needed during low volume times.
- Packages materials and products manually
- Determines that the correct packing materials are available at packing station
- Applies labels according to directions/facility requirements
- Follow all applicable government regulations; including HIPAA.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Ability to analyze, read and interpret doctor’s orders
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible
- Must possess good mathematical skills
- Must possess good customer service skills
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be familiar with brand/generic drug names and general pharmacy terminology
- Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Pharmacy Technician License (IL) (Preferred: Certified Status)

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
