We’re currently seeking a highly motivated Project Manager located in Portland, OR.
Overview:
Experience in electrical project management such as experience in electrical, all disciplines with focus on low voltage systems including but limited to fire alarm/detection systems and security systems.
Required Education:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering and or B.A. in Construction Management
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities.
- 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in project management related to engineering design and construction projects.
- Desire experience in electrical, all disciplines with focus on low voltage systems including but limited to fire alarm/detection systems and security systems.
- Knowledge of design/construction project management principles, processes, systems, and techniques, including permitting, scheduling, cost estimating and procurement.
- Experience with providing leadership on complex construction projects, including planning, organizing, reviewing, and/or evaluating the work of professional, technical, and/or administrative staff.
- Ensuring all regulations, codes and/or ordinances as they relate to electrical infrastructure or similar construction projects are adhered to.
- Experience with Aviation or Airport construction is a plus.
- Experience with MS Office and MS Projects.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software applications similar to ProCore and Bluebeam.
- Candidate required to pass a background check and TSA security for badging.
- Team player, highly organized, industrious worker with proven leadership qualities; dedicated and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Manage or assist in the management of capital construction projects.
- Form and lead multidisciplinary project teams comprised of design engineers, construction managers, and other professional and technical staff.
- Work closely with staff who are subject matter experts or stakeholders in the project, including planning and operational workgroups, communications and public involvement staff and other technical staff. Coordinate or consult with project stakeholders from other agencies, organizations, and the public.
- Develop and monitor project scopes, workplans, schedules and budgets; ensure compliance with procedures, federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
