Title Assistant Critical Facility Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Critical Facility Manager is accountable to the client for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the assigned critical facility or campus, with a strong emphasis on risk mitigation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operate and maintain sites in such a condition as to assure 100% uptime to customers for facilities services (electrical, cooling, etc.).
- Ensure the sites comply with all local, state, and federal requirements for EH&S.
- Operate the assigned site equipment to obtain maximum effectiveness and efficiency, cost, equipment longevity, and reliability.
- Create an open and sharing relationship with the clients and clients’ vendors.
- Support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the assigned critical facility or campus, with a strong emphasis on risk mitigation, including:
- Assist with managing the operations and maintenance of all assigned site infrastructure equipment and systems (critical and/or non-critical) with a master level understanding of uninterrupted 24x7 customer operations.
- Provide 24 x 7 on-call emergency response and support as necessary to support the customer mission.
- Operate and perform both routine and emergency service on a variety of critical systems. (mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems)
- When required, perform daily/weekly/monthly walk-through of customer facilities in support of data center operations.
- Manage equipment vendors and maintenance contractors.
- Interact effectively with internal and external customers.
- Attend manufacture training when applicable and support staff training.
- Ensure operational, maintenance and emergency methods of procedure (MOPs) are used.
- Assist, as necessary, with scheduling of preventative maintenance, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance with minimal disruption of building services.
- Ensure strict adherence to critical facility work rule and safety procedures.
- Be familiar with all applicable Federal, State, and local rules, codes, and regulations.
- Other assigned tasks as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:
- 5 or more years of experience in mission critical environments.
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft office or similar software and email.
Certificates and Licenses:
- CFM or equivalent facilities management certification preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assists with supervision and management of Critical Facility Engineers, Data Center Technicians, and Suppliers in the direction of the CFM. Assigns staff appropriately for proper coverage.
