HRU Technical Resources is seeking a Equipment Planner to assist a large chemical corporation located in Freeport, TX.
Type of Role: 12 Month Contract (Extension possible)
Schedule: Onsite Monday-Thursday (4-10’s)
Compensation: $50.00-$55.00/HR

Description: This contract position that is craft-specific and is responsible for managing unplanned work orders; generating job plans including labor, material, equipment, and services; creating job packets for field execution; and continually improving job plans via updates based upon feedback. Maintenance planning covers areas such as rotating equipment repair, piping fabrication and repair (including support tasks like insulation and scaffolding), carpentry, painting, QA/QC, Inspection, etc. Please apply today if this sounds like you!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviewing backlog and planning list
- Clarifying incomplete or poorly defined work notifications
- Grouping work orders and/or notifications together that can be planned and completed as a single order
- Determining the appropriate degree of planning
- Complete job plans that include safety, detailed work scope, skill requirements, Labor estimate, special tools and equipment
- Create job packets as needed which include job plans, technical documentation, and a feedback forms
- Build and validate job kits
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Specialist in the Timely Execution of Emergency or Critical Priority Jobs
- Assist with Optimization of Spare Parts Inventory
- Build and Maintain Bill of Materials (BoMs)
- Identify Jobs that Require Management of Change (MoC)
- Create Purchase Requisitions and Reservations for Necessary Materials, Equipment, or Services and Orders Material
- Build Task Lists (Job Plan Library) for Recurring Jobs
Minimum Qualifications:
- H.S diploma or GED
- 5-6 years’ experience in manufacturing planning role
- Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.
