The Child Educational Center is an innovative, nationally-accredited early care and education organization with a pioneering focus on progressive education and outdoor learning.
We are hiring Associate and Lead Teachers for our School-Age, Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs. While the primary need is in the School-Age program, with the nature of our programs, employees may work in the Early Childhood programs in the mornings or at other various times throughout the year.
The ideal candidates are outgoing individuals with an early childhood background. Applicants must be innovative and have an understanding of and a desire to work within a play-based philosophy with a strong emphasis on the Outdoor Classroom. They must enjoy being outdoors and can expect to work both indoors and outdoors actively supporting and facilitating children’s play in our dynamic research-based program.
We are a full day, twelve month program. Most positions are five days per week, Monday through Friday. Competitive benefits and paid time off. Hourly pay rates, effective August 5, 2024:
- Teacher Assistant $18.10 - $18.87
- Associate Teacher $18.89 - $22.56
- Lead Teacher $22.76- $30.00
Pre-hire: Completion of 6 units in early childhood education is required; 12 units in early childhood education is preferred.
