We service the entire island of Kauai on both residential and commercial jobs. As a glazing subcontractor, our work ranges from fixing broken windows to large commercial storefront projects. Being the Front Desk Coordinator will be your primary role, however, depending on your strengths and skillset your role will expand into a few areas: estimating, ordering, sales, and billing. Estimating/Quoting will be a large part of your role; you'll be working directly with customers to help design, trouble-shoot, and assist with their needs. As a growing company, we have multiple seats to fill. Our team is very cross-functional so there is a lot of collaborating and team-work. The ideal candidate is willing to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Handling front office receptionist and administrative duties
- Customer Service: communicating clearly with our customers across multiple channels (phone, email, and text). You are the first person our customers interact with when they enter our showroom or call us.
- Greeting customers and making them feel welcome
- Provide assistance by responding to routine questions
- Turning customer inquiries into Sales by assisting with customer projects, explaining our products, providing follow-up, etc.
- Helping to ensure our customers have a great experience with us
- Intaking & processing new Leads and Approved Quotes
- Assisting with showroom walk-ins
- Quoting/Estimating
- Assisting other team members with various tasks & helping wherever needed
Skills Need to Win:
- Interacting with and helping clients MUST give you joy & energy
- Be analytical and able to problem-solve
- Be obsessed with details and also be fluid and adaptable to unexpected situations
- Able to work under high-pressure, sometimes demanding conditions (typical of working in the construction industry)
- At least (1-2) year office/clerical experience (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High level of personal, written, and phone communication skills
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Having a problem-solving mindset
- Responding to feedback well and taking initiative
- Being willing and able to wear multiple “hats”
