Artemis IT is a Managed Services Provider based in Melbourne, Florida providing services to clients throughout the Central Florida Region. Our team of nearly 50 professionals work together to deliver on our mission to Make I.T. Work for our clients. We provide comprehensive services to our clients that range from help desk through cloud and on-premise infrastructure design, implementation, and managed support. Some clients elect to outsource their entire IT operation to us, while others choose to engage us on a project-by-project basis in partnership with internal IT teams. The senior system administrator position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who serves three primary functions; they are a senior escalation point for customer technical issues that may require a more advanced skill set, they engage in technical solution design and project deployments; and they provide organizational improvement by providing technical leadership and coaching.
They must be able to communicate effectively, take ownership, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently both as part of the team and independently while ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to customer operations.
The position will work primarily from within the office; however, will go onsite when required by the customer specific situation and for project deployments.
A passion for providing GREAT customer service and for supporting the Artemis internal team is a must.
Primary responsibilities
- Provide senior technical escalation support
- Provide technical leadership and coaching
- Take ownership on assigned technical issues and drive to resolution

- Maintain accurate customer documentation

- Provide Windows Desktop, Server Support, and general infrastructure support
- Participates in and/or leads the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates
- Participates in and/or leads research and development initiatives and provides assistance in the implementation of new technologies.
- Serves as a primary project member on technology projects with large scope and impact; may lead and integrate the work of other staff.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Operating System
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server
- Strong working knowledge of popular Windows-based applications
- Deployment and management of Active directory Domains
- Strong logic and trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Attention to detail
- Ability to think outside the box
- Ability to analyze and resolve moderately complex computer and network problems
- Experience with Azure cloud servers and infrastructure management
- Knowledge of DHCP, VLAN’s, and DNS
- Deployment of Enterprise level wireless networks
- Experience in Design, Configuration and deployment of switch and firewall devices in large multi-building or multi-site networks
- Advanced knowledge of network operating systems (Cisco, Junos, IOS)
- Familiarity with advanced layer 3 and layer 4 networking
- Experience Managing a multi-host highly available virtualized environment (VMWare and MS Hyper-V)
- Understanding of different backup methods (incremental, differential, etc)
- M365 Platform deployment and management
- Ability to provide leadership and functional direction to other technical support staff
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Microsoft (Server/Azure/M365), CompTIA A+, Net+ or Sec+
- Experience with SAN storage devices
- AS/BS Degree
