Sanitation Lead PR04 - 3rd Shift - Warren MI Plant
Summary:
This is a working lead position.
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly.
The Sanitation lead ensures all safety procedures Lock out Tag Out are followed during the cleaning of equipment, parts and plant. Organizes and assigns sanitation team members daily tasks after checking with the production manager, master cleaning, and pan schedule. The sanitation Lead will be responsible for testing titrations daily and documenting results in the chemical booklet. Sanitation lead will be responsible for the documentation of all MCS tasks that were completed at the end of the shift.
Duties:

Delegate work assignments of team members to maintain the cleanliness of the plant.

Trains team members according to work instructions

Responsible for follow through of the cleaning assignment for team members

Must work safely at all times and comply with all safety policies and procedures, Lock out Tag out
-
Comply with SOP’s and GMP’s

Keep equipment and surrounding areas clean have replacement equipment clean and ready for change overs
-
Communicates with management on a daily basis
-
Ensure continuity between shifts by documenting cleaning actions and noting areas that requiring additional care or monitoring

Preform other duties as assigned

Responsible for the documenting of all task completed at the end of the shift

Testing titrations daily and documenting results in chemical booklet
Requirements:
-
You must have at least six (6) months work experience within the last 12 months to be considered for this position.

Minimum 6 months sanitation experience required.

Experience in the food manufacturing environment preferred
-
Experience in regulatory audits (USDA, AIB etc.) is a plus.

weekends are required and holidays expected based on production schedule.

Effective written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to work systematically within the pressures of the role while organizing and prioritizing daily work and projects

Must be willing to work 10 hour shift if needed. 3rd shift hours are from 8pm - 6am

The position requires standing, walking, climbing steps/ladders, and work in a hot, cold and wet environment.

Self-driven, dependable, motivated.

Ability to inspect equipment and areas where work has been performed.
