The Pre-Admission Testing Nurse is responsible for safe and efficient preparation of patients for surgical or invasive procedures. They assess patients' medical histories, perform necessary tests, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure that patients are optimally prepared for their procedures. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and clinical expertise will contribute to the overall quality of care provided to patients.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous perioperative nursing experience preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Certified in BLS through the American Heart Association. ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assess and provide care to the patients. A critical thinker and the ability to effectively communicate with patients over the phone. Must be fluent in Spanish.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Normally scheduled 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM on Friday. Off on weekends and holidays, no call.

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
