Gabe*s is looking for an energetic Associate to join our Management Team! We are looking for someone who has strong leadership skills and wants to grow with our company.
Previous Retail Management Experience and Strong Leadership Skills Required. Must have open availability for scheduling (Days / Evenings / Weekends).
The Operations Manager leads a team that promotes great styles, famous brands, and amazing prices. Provides leadership to their team and also support to the General Manager. Drives the overall customer experience, operational excellence, and total store results. Responsible for ensuring the service standard for customers is met. Ensure Gabe’s is a great place to work and a great place to shop. Reports to the General Manager, and assumes GM Responsibilities in the GM's absence.
- Serves as primary partner to General Manager for meeting hiring goals.
- Hires, trains, and leads retention for direct and indirect reports.
- Completes new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Responsible for implementing new and ongoing training initiatives.
- Monitors and supports daily payroll processes and weekly payroll sign off.
- Fosters positive team performance through employee recognition initiatives.
- Assesses training and growth opportunities in departments; creates a development plan for team.
- Assesses employee performance and assists in delivering yearly performance reviews.
- Addresses performance issues and policy violations for direct and indirect reports, including coaching and counseling.
- Partners with GM on possible termination situations. Partners with store leadership team to minimize store turnover.
- Maintains personnel files and office organization.
- Handle escalated Customer Service issues in a professional manner at all times while Manager on Duty
- Provide Front End/POS support to include handling all Management Overrides at registers and DSD Best Practices (including approval processes) while MOD.
- Educates team on driving results through service standards, replenishment, and customer experience at the cash wrap, sales floor, and fitting room.
- Makes strategic business decisions by developing short term action plans to support long term store strategies.
- Manages payroll weekly, allocates resources needed to support business needs, and creates a schedule for the entire store team. Prioritizes, plans, and adjusts schedules and daily agendas to meet business goals.
