Square Medical Group is looking for an energetic team player to join the staff of our innovative residential program in our Waltham location! River House is a 16-bed intensive treatment program for adult men designed specifically for individuals with both mental health and addiction disorder challenges. Position Overview: The Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the COE Program. The Program Director, in coordination with the Clinical Director and Medical Director shall ensure that all organizational policies and procedures are being maintained and followed. We are also offering a two-day paid, meet the team and program shadowing feature for prospect candidates that will be discussed in depth in formal interview!
Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the River House program.
- In collaboration with Clinical Director, manage and coordinate group treatment scheduling and manage attendance data base.
- Provide supervision to the Clinical Director, and other staff as needed.
- Provide individual, group and crisis intervention therapeutic services as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Create reports for the state and corporate office.
- Review and approve program policies and procedures.
- Ensure operational budgets are followed, specifically related to expense control, ordering, purchasing, and invoice payment. This includes monitoring ordering and purchasing through website, maintaining spreadsheet for monthly budget reconciliation.
- In collaboration with Clinical Director monitor quality and concurrent reviews and utilization management.
- Coordinate and manage insurance authorizations, in collaboration with clinical staff.
- In collaboration with Clinical Director and Chief Operating Officer, as appropriate, recruit, interview, hire, train, and onboard staff.
- In collaboration with Clinical Director and other SMG staff, as appropriate, recruit, interview, train, and onboard interns. Maintain communications and ongoing liaison function with schools and intern faculty and staff at these schools.
- Ensure payroll and other HR functions are occurring per Massachusetts State laws.
- Provide liaison to Provider (Prescriber) group through attendance at weekly Provider’s meeting and ongoing communications.
- Provide liaison functions to overall SMG management group and other staff within the organization.
- Assists all staff in becoming proficient in evidence-based practices (EBP) and providing fidelity to the EBP models.
- Motivate and inspire staff through leading by example.
- Participate in Business Development activities as necessary.
- Ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction through regular interactions with the program’s participants and review of satisfaction surveys.
- Maintain all requirements for State and Local licensing along with contract requirements from third party payers.
- Act in accordance with Square Medical Group’s Standards of Care at all times, including maintaining professional ethics, boundaries and client confidentiality while working from a strength-based perspective.
- Working with the program team to ensure the safety of all residents.
- Willingness and ability to work with the team in a supportive and professional manner.
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling or a related discipline preferred.
- LICSW, LMHC or similar license in appropriate discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working in a substance abuse or psychiatric facility or equivalent business and leadership experience.
- Solid knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations, including experience with co-occurring disorder population.
- An advanced knowledge of Massachusetts state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management; BSAS. DPH, and DMH.
- Attend program and corporate meetings on a weekly basis.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Working knowledge of operations and financial management and marketing methods.
- The Program Director must have experience in working with both substance use and mental health staff, including Recovery Specialists and Peer Workers, and is able to build staff capacity to treat both substance use and mental health disorders.
- Third-party experience with insurance authorizations, quality and concurrent reviews and utilization management.
- Knowledge of and experience with Evidence Based Practices specific to the program model.
- Experience with EHR.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a professional team.
- Other requirements include proficiency in the MS Office Suite, strong organizational skills and superb communication skills.
