RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Leesburg, VA that is seeking a Critical Facility Technician.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor performance of maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center
- Perform equipment/facility readings, and critical infrastructure operations and maintenance activities
- Support electrical infrastructures throughout datacenter campus ranging from a single, large-capacity facility to several smaller ones
- Track, monitor, and report key performance indicators, telemetry information systems, and facility data
- Escort contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and service providers on site, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with standard practices, procedures, federal/local legislation, and municipal codes
- Support operations through basic channels such as work order ticketing systems, scheduling, root cause analysis, change management, documentation and upkeep of procedures and building management systems
- Learn/assist with root cause analysis, change management processes, documentation, upkeep of procedures and building management systems
- Utilize internal CMMS to complete work order requests for preventative, predictive, and corrective work
- Maintain accurate facility data including rounds, Planned Maintenance work orders, change management processes, etc.
- Assist in response to emergencies and critical issues, as necessary; Work with site team, according to staffing and situation, towards complete incident mitigation
- Work to gain skills during on-the-job training for preventive maintenance and repairs on data center equipment and datacenter operations
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ year(s) of work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g. automotive, electrical, controls, data center)
- Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks
- Experience with building management systems (EPMS). Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of 1 source; Critical Load is still supplied through one source (-N-). PDU shutdown for power meter replacement; Power Interruption Testing (PIT). Master controller shutdown or replacement
- Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
- Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
- Previous datacenter experience a plus. Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
