Overview:
Join our team as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician where you will play a crucial role in our production processes. Duties/Responsibilities:
· Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines. Records pm work daily & other proactive activities to monitor & maintain equipment condition
· Inspects machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
· Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
· Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
· Reads and interprets engineering blueprints.
· Identifies parts for order and installs replacement parts for machines.
· Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
· Services and maintains equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transfer systems, and production-related equipment.
· Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
· Prepares reports documenting work performed.
· Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
· Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
Capable of welding, plumbing, electrical work and familiar with PLC, VFD, and other automation equipment typical of heavy manufacturing environment.
· Will keep Electrical Room, PLC room, and Maintenance shop area clean and orderly
· May be called upon for emergency work Subject to call in pay
· Install, troubleshoot, service and repair of all production related equipment.
· Ability to think critically and perform repairs in a timely manner. Able to recognize and recommend improvements to machine and/or cell layouts.
· Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, product safety, company property, environmental and team member's safety.
· Responsible for calibration of microprocessor-based control equipment.
· Responsible for repair/installation of general instrumentation and electrical control systems.
· Required to be able to read and understand relay logic for the purpose of troubleshooting and repair.
· Must be able to perform tests and calibration procedures using test equipment including but not limited to CRT terminals, data recorders, multimeter, megger, and amprobe.
· Will frequently work under pressure to diagnose problems.
· Must be able to troubleshoot and change PLC programming.
· Must understand power distribution and wiring practices.
· Ability to install panel boxes, remote control equipment, motors, power, and lighting circuits.
Qualifications:
-Mechanically inclined with excellent problem-solving skills.
· Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus
· Works well independently and with others.
· Good communication skills.
· Organized with attention to detail.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
· Familiarity with NFPA safety standards and regulations.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
Good time-management skills.
Basic computer and report writing skills.
Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
Capable of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoots malfunctions and complies with NEC standards on wiring and installations.
Electrical and Mechanical competency as described above in line with Best Practice Standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
