From design engineering support for producibility to one-of-a-kind prototyping and production, Atlantic Fabricating has over 40 years of experience supporting custom machinery fabrication and production needs for the Oil and Gas, Alternative Energy, Industrial, Automotive, and Medical industries. Additionally, Atlantic manufactures PCB boards and distributes spare parts globally.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced full-time welder fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate has a mechanical aptitude with extensive experience fabricating small to large weldments or similar assemblies from tube, plate, channel, sheet, and other steel products. This position requires a 90-day trial period to ensure a good fit for both the candidate and the company.
The welder fabricator must be self-reliant, capable of working independently with sheet metal, and proficient in reading prints and communicating effectively with current employees. This position is expected to provide support where needed and actively contribute to a smooth workflow while collaborating with our management team. The ideal candidate will also embrace the role of a mentor, sharing their expertise with fellow team members and continuously seeking to expand their knowledge and skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision:
- Operate welding and associated equipment to fabricate and assemble materials to print.
- Operate other fabrication equipment as required (shear, press, punches, rollers, drills, mills, etc.).
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specific welding requirements.
- Understand design intent and provide input for producibility.
- Maintain welding equipment.
- Visually inspect and check welds for conformance to blueprints and specifications.
- Manufacture and maintain component parts and fixtures as required.
- Consistently maintain specific tolerances and accurately perform dimensions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, neat, and orderly work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while working with hazardous materials and heavy machinery.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Work under the supervision of a lead welder.
Qualifications
- Extensive working experience within metal fabrication and manufacturing.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in standard English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Possess a working knowledge of shop geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, as required.

- This position is based in our newly renovated 19,000 square foot facility.

- The reporting structure goes as follows: lead welder, operations manager, general manager.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 10+ years of welding experience.
- AWS structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and/or other welder certification.
