The Personal Banker (PB) is responsible for building customer advocacy through trusted financial guidance by opening and servicing of consumer deposit and loan activities, and business deposits. This role assists as an extension and support for business, and ag deposit and Cash Management services, referring or partnering with other departments and community organizations to strengthen or uncover new relationships opportunities.
Customer Service, Collaboration & Sales
- Timely and accurate assistance with consumer loan and deposit products, business/ag deposit products, cash management services, and client services transactions.
- Prompt response to customer concerns and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage location reports.
- Proactive conversation and informed question asking to uncover financial needs.
- Accurate opening and maintenance of accounts, following all required process and compliance guidelines.
- Supporting and providing Premier Experience service to Choice clients.
- Build and manage relationships with clients as well as internal teams.
- Applying expert knowledge policies and procedures to minimize risk, including S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations to assist in taking applications for dwelling secured transactions.
- Act as a liaison with sales teams to by providing expert service support of commercial and ag customers.
- Recognize opportunities to refer clients for additional Choice Bank, Wealth, Benefit, and Insurance services.
- Communication & collaboration with internal teams such as Loan Officers, Personal Bankers, and Client Services Team.
- Recognize opportunities to refer internal and external clients to other areas across Choice.
Confidentiality
- Acquire and maintain accurate application customer data.
- On-Board new Choice Financial customers accurately and within compliance standards.
- Responsible for FDM imaging, completeness and accuracy of deposit documents, and BSA daily processing.
Other General & Administrative
- Builds and develops network of internal/external sources and resources to build Choice Financial relationships.
- Contains knowledge of bank and insurance products and services.
- Contains knowledge and complies with policies, procedures and industry changes.
- Performs duties outside normal scope as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 or 4 Year degree in Business Administration or Management, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- Registration with SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations
- 1-2 years of related sales experience
- 3+ years banking experience
- Basic understanding of the products and services offered along with the various pricings.
- Understand proper loan structure and covenant definitions.
- Ability to manage special projects as assigned.
- Provide expert service and support to Choice clients.
