POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in the management and organization of the company’s assets and asset data. This role is responsible for managing, organizing, distributing, and curating GS Steel’s assets. The primary objective for this role is to manage the daily field logistics and inventory systems for maximum efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages inventory and sets inventory levels which meet the organizational needs.
- Creates asset management policies, procedures and guidelines that can be distributed to the greater team.
- Assists in building utilization reports for leadership in order to make good data-driven decisions.
- Oversees purchasing for field assets and equipment (and parts) including consumables, tools, safety gear, clothing, and large format branding.
- Manages vendor relationships.
- Directs shop operations including scheduling of supply runs to the field to build systemic efficiency – reduce field reactivity
- Controls truck and Conex inventory.
- Manages fleet activities including logistics tracking, utilization and M&R.
- Ensures equipment certification, inspections, and maintenance are up to date.
- Verifies welding test compliance, inspections, certifications, and continuity logs are up to date.
- Develops technology infrastructure including software implementation, R&D, buildout, and training.
- Supports managed services support including MDM helpdesk, deployment, purchasing, and setup
- Promotes a positive working environment conducive to a team atmosphere in alignment with the GS Steel culture.
- Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED / PREFERRED
- High school graduate
- At least five years of 5 years of business operations experience required.
- Good understanding of construction business operations.
- Strong prioritization skills, situational adaptability and ability to manage ambiguity.
- Basic financial acumen to understand key financial indicators and recognize profitability and revenue opportunities.
- Global perspective of common business practices and impact on business.
- Good leadership ability (team building, coaching, mentoring, change management, advising.)
- Strong problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve.)
- Basic understanding of Information Systems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
