PRN PACU RN
Holston Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center, a leading multispecialty surgery center, is seeking a dedicated and experienced PRN PACU RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from various surgical procedures in our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients' postoperative condition in the PACU.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient recovery process.
- Document patient care and progress accurately and thoroughly.
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and discharge instructions.

Required Skills:
- Current TN RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of PACU or critical care nursing experience.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Longevity in past roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a multispecialty or outpatient surgery center.
- Recent PACU, preoperative or perioperative experience.
