Summary
The BEST FUNERAL SERVICES Funeral Director/Funeral Arranger position covers several key areas teaming directly with and supporting the Manager and fellow funeral directors and funeral arrangers.
Role: Under limited supervision, assist with all procedures in the funeral home under the laws, policies and guidelines provided by the State of Arizona, the FTC and Best Funeral Services, Inc.
This position will be based at Best Funeral Services West Valley Chapel located at 9380 West Peoria Avenue and BFS North Central Chapel located at 501 East Dunlap Avenue.
Perform technical and clerical tasks to facilitate the thorough and dignified burial and cremation of decedents including but not limited to:
- Conduct initial arrangement conference and necessary follow up meetings
- Entering death certificate information and vital statistics data into funeral home based software and the state DAVE web-based system
- Assist with obtaining certifying physician’s determined cause of death and signatures.
- Assist with scheduling new client families and collecting preliminary information when applicable.
- Assist with placing cremated human remains into urns and keepsakes.
- Assist in the preparation of funeral service memorial stationary.
- Funeral service preparation including floral set-up, funeral chapel set-up and reception lounge set-up.
- Assist with presenting client provided visitation and funeral service audio/visual presentations.
- Maintain and assist with implementation of all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Funeral Rule requirements and any other governing funeral laws and regulations.
- Bathing, dressing and casketing of human remains.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the funeral home public areas and private staff areas.
- Assists with cremating human remains and maintaining the crematory
Minimum of 1 year of successful funeral arrangement experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:
