Responsibilities:
- Perform periodontal examinations and assessments on patients
- Diagnose and treat gum diseases and conditions
- Develop treatment plans and provide appropriate periodontal therapies
- Perform surgical procedures such as gum grafting, crown lengthening, and dental implant placement
- Collaborate with Prosthodontist to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive measures for gum diseases
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental software
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Periodontist
- Proficient in HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for treatment planning
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for periodontal diagnosis
- Strong patient assessment skills to determine appropriate treatment options
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and explain treatment plans
- Experience in medical documentation, including accurate charting and progress notes
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to periodontal procedures
- Knowledge of infection control protocols in a dental setting
- Understanding of medical coding for insurance billing purposes
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
