The Financial Systems and Integration Manager is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the Firm’s financial and related systems. They ensure seamless integration of the financial system with software and other business systems for efficient data flow and reporting capabilities including the implementation of new software and initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Firm and its finance/accounting function. As the Firm is planning to transition to a new cloud-based financial platform (3E), the Financial Systems and Integration Manager will lead teams in designing, developing and testing the new financial platform including overseeing creation and execution of a master project plan and the successful completion of all integration activities.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Firm’s existing financial and related systems
· Ensure seamless integration of the Firm’s financial system with other business systems
· Deploy upgrades and new software to enhance security and efficiency
· Create and provide ad hoc, routine and automated financial reporting
· Leadership in the Firm’s transition to a new financial platform
· Successful integration of SaaS, cloud-hosted and on-prem technologies for financial systems including experience with REST API
· Development of financial system protocols, procedures, documentation and end-user training in coordination with the Firm’s IT team and the IT and Finance teams from other Dentons firms and various vendors
· Effective, routine communication with executive leadership about the Firm’s financial systems and integration efforts
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Experience & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a computer or business-related field
· Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional experience, preferably with a law firm or other professional service organization
· Experience implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, with a strong preference for past Thomson Reuters Elite 3E experience
· Excellent technical skills, including SQL, advanced Excel and PowerBI, with experience with data cubes and financial systems integrations
· Proficiency in database design (Concept Maps, ER Diagrams, etc.)
· Experience with data transformation (SQL, XML, etc.)
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
· Effective oral and written communication within cross-functional teams
· Ability to interact effectively and develop working relationships with executive leadership, administrative leadership, Partners, attorneys and staff
· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
· Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize to meet tight deadlines
· A high level of initiative and self-motivation
