TTS Engineering is one of the few Southern California companies able to service the public and private industries in the infrastructure needs from start to finish. TTS specializes in Site grading, Site demolition and underground utilities, we construct all the site utilities for projects including sewer, storm drains, water, and dry utilities. Excavation for our pipeline, excavation for desilting basins, cutting rough grade, over excavation and compaction for pads. TTS constructs all our own concrete structures for drainage, sewer manholes fine grading and compaction. We form and pour all our own flatwork, curb and gutter, sidewalks. We are seeking lead field mechanic. As we continue to grow, we are looking to hire an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain our range of heavy-duty construction equipment. As a lead mechanic, you will be responsible for in-house maintenance as well as driving to the job sites, inspecting equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet. We encourage that you are familiar with Caterpillar, Liugong, Yanmar, Case & Hyundai.
Job Requirements:
· Valid CA driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
· Maintaining equipment; fluid services, tire changes, airline and hydraulic services.
· Light/Medium mig & stick welding.
· Tractor & trailer preventative maintenance & light/medium repairs
· 3-5 years’ experience preferred
· Maintenance on small equipment, generators, quickie saws, compactors, and vibe plates.
· Responsible for maintaining accurate records of time and material required to perform repairs and service
· Promote shop safety by cleaning work areas and removing hazardous materials such as oil, gasoline, or other fluids.
· Proper disposal of motor oil, tires, and other vehicle fluids
· Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, hearing conversations and other sounds (air leaks, rattles, etc.) near/far visual acuity/depth perception.
· Good communication skills and maintain a great attitude towards work and fellow employees
· Willingness to undertake training if necessary
· Be mild-tempered and a team player
