Rapidly growing Glazing subcontractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager that has worked as an assistant project manager for at least 3 years or has worked as a project manager for two years for a commercial glazing subcontractor.
Company installs storefronts and curtainwall projects in Houston, Austin and San Antonio metro areas. Growing backlog of work, tremendous finances and low employee turnover.
Looking for a Project Manager with project scope experience -- over $100K to $1M per project. Ability to proactively handle challenges, provide solutions, multi-task, work independently and collaboratively.

Required qualifications: (unqualified applicants will be immediately rejected)
· 5 yrs. minimum in the specific glass and glazing industry in a fast-paced environment.
· Minimum 2 years’ project management experience with glass storefronts and curtain wall systems, window walls, windows and doors.
· Working knowledge of Kawneer, Oldcastle, YKK and CRL hardware and systems
· Solid working knowledge of PartnerPak, RhinoFab, Bluebeam or Nitro pdf, Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
· Working knowledge of project management software like Procore, Jira etc. and agile methodology is a plus
· Must have good technical background in facades from either actual design experience or production or installation experience.
· Good proven track record of successful project execution for previous employer(s)
Responsibilities
· Attend pre-bid meetings and regularly visit job sites to check progress and self-asses quality of work
· Review each project thoroughly for glass and glazing scope upon handover from estimator. Perform own take off, compare with proposal scope and understand cost budgets for each line item
· Review any existing quotes and ensure they are within budget.
· Negotiate costs with vendors
· Cross check bid proposal vs architectural and the hardware sets and initiate a purchase requisition to submit for operations manager review
· Ensure that all engineering / technical specifications, contract requirements are followed. Maintain Project Schedules and ensures compliance to Contract Conditions
· Prepare submittal package for client
· Follow up with vendors on materials delivery and timing
· Weekly status updates to the client’s project manager on any progress or delays.
· Fill in for other Project Managers for projects, when necessary
· Closely monitor every job to control or minimize job costs and maximize job profitability while adhering to the specs and project scope.
· Co-ordinate with superintendent or operations manager to ensure work installed meets or exceeds our quality standards.
· Complete ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.
