Growing Orthopedic Office - the Orthopedic Medical Assistant will assist Provider(s) during clinic in assigned location. The Medical Assistant performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities such as escort patients to exam room; assist them with dressing/undressing as needed; Review all Registration items in EMR. Obtain necessary forms from Patients; Collect data and accurately input data into all Intake sections of EMR; Prepare and create orders for XR, DME, labs, etc., when appropriate. Obtain results of lab and diagnostic testing. The Medical Assistant is responsible for Patient Call Backs on messages, prescriptions and referrals. The Medical Assistant should understand the basics of proper fitting and instructions of soft goods, bracing and all other DME products.
