We have a compelling opportunity available for an Electrical Engineer to contribute to our healthcare studio in our Long Beach office. This role is perfect for someone with 3-5 years of experience in designing Electrical systems for both new constructions and existing structures.
General Responsibilities
Pre-Design Engineering
- Assess existing as-built drawings and conduct thorough field investigations.
- Set up comprehensive drawings and models across various disciplines.
- Engage in close collaboration with team members to ensure seamless design coordination, adherence to schedules, and timely deliverables.
- Undertake feasibility studies and prepare innovative schematic designs.
Design Engineering
- Utilize tools like EnergyPro or IES VE for energy calculations.
- Develop detailed single-line diagrams and load schedules.
- Spearhead lighting selection and implement cutting-edge control systems.
- Design robust normal, emergency, and renewable power systems.
- Conduct essential Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies.
- Bonus: Experience with low voltage building systems such as Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, and Nurse Call systems.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering Field.
- Preference for candidates with Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification and LEED Accreditation.
Working Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Familiarity with California Building Code and National Electrical Code.
- Experience with OSHPD protocols is advantageous.
