Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for kitchen operations
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns related to the kitchen operations
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, waste, and inventory control
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new culinary techniques
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality and presentation
- Proven ability to manage a team effectively and foster a positive work environment
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and POS software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
